Project Description:
The Facility Master Plan reflects and supports an updated Academic Plan and establishes a framework for implementation of campus construction priorities and strategies over a 13-year period (2011 through 2025).
The plan was developed on the basis of extensive discussion and involvement of multiple stake holders including faculty, staff, students, and administration. Input was collected throughout the process via electronic questionnaires, multiple open campus forums, and focused work sessions.
The Facility Master Plan addressed:
•Existing building and site condition assessments
•Clarifying and simplifying campus zoning
•Public/Student Vehicular access, parking and circulation
•Service and emergency vehicle access and circulation
•Pedestrian circulation and open space character including enhancement of campus gateways, establishing a hierarchy of pedestrian spines, walkways and paths, and development of an urban design plan for the campus core
•Identification of facility projects including: Infrastructure; Demolition of existing buildings and improvements; Modernization and expansion projects; New facilities
•Implementation sequencing and project budgeting including an analysis of the source and use of funds
